Welcome to Corso Italia-Davenport:
Gelato, Nonnas, and Nonnos–it’s Little Italy 2.0.
Corso Italia holds a very special place in our hearts. At 25 years old, Aleks bought her very first house here, and after meeting years later, Amir actually bought his first house on the very same street.
Corso is also where we first started falling in love with renovations and where we first built the foundation of our knowledge and experience. Aleks also bought her second property in Corso Italia: Morrison. This is where we actually fell in love–cheesy, but true! All 3 properties had amazing neighbours: they were older (Italians – obviously!) and would often help Aleks with yard work and bring over homemade lasagne, pasta, rapini and pizza! Amir later bought his second house in Corso, and we’ve since bought and sold many homes for our closest friends and clients here, effectively forcing our friends to live near us! It’s been a fun ride.
Grab some gelato at La Paloma and take a walk through Earlscourt Park–it’s huge! Afterwards, be sure to have dinner and drinks at one of our favourite local restaurants like Frank’s Pizza House, Sofra Grill, Pizza e Pazzi, Marcello’s, or King’s Tacos.
Both pedestrians and motorists will have an easy time getting around the neighbourhood. There are a lot of local amenities within a 5 to 10-minute walk, and many major highways are within a 10 to 15-minute drive (Allen, Black Creek, 400, 401). There’s also the Eglinton LRT (in progress), St. Clair’s dedicated streetcar line to Bathurst Station, or the 24-hour buses that run up and down Ossington and Dufferin to the Bloor-Danforth line.
This neighbourhood is still bustling with Nonnas and Nonnos, but there’s also a lot of families, young couples, and even older couples looking to downsize.
