Cool homes: Fallingwater
Hands up if you’d love to live on a waterfall! 🙋♀️
In 1935, Frank Lloyd Wright designed this incredible house partially built over a waterfall in rural southwestern Pennsylvania. The villa was built as a weekend home and was called by Time “Wright’s most beautiful job,” and listed among Smithsonian‘s “Life List Of 28 Places To Visit Before You Die.”
But how much did this artwork cost? Back then, the original estimated cost for building Fallingwater was USD $35,000, but the actual final cost for the home and guest house was USD $155,000. Nowadays, this is comparable to USD $2,914,861.11.
