Living In The King East Hood – Top Things To Do and See

Can’t leave the city? No biggie!
If there’s one thing that we have learned with all of these Covid restrictions is to appreciate our beloved Toronto more, especially the outdoors. Today, we would like to share our 4 top things to do and see in the King East hood. Whether you live in the area, are considering moving here or are simply looking for some ideas on how to spend your next socially distanced weekend, this list is made for you!
Distillery District
Even with all the restaurants & boutiques closed (finger crossed we’ll be able to enjoy them again soon), the Distillery District remains one of the most iconic places in the city. Walk around the 19th century buildings that once housed a large whiskey distillery, and why not? Take a selfie or two in front of those brick walls, the LOVE sign and the instagram-worthy monuments installed all around the district.
St Lawrence Market
If you’re looking for fresh produce or some goodies, this is the place to go! St. Lawrence Market remains open during the lock-down, but you can also place orders from your favourite vendors here.
Cherry Beach
Craving the beach, the sun and the waves? Cherry Beach is just minutes away! Cherry Beach is a safe, friendly, wonderful place for kite-surfing, swimming, walking, and BBQs (in warmer weather). Obviously always make sure to respect the social distancing rules and covid regulations 🙂
Parks anyone?
If you enjoy having a picnic at the park or exploring a new trail, you can still do so within the city!
St. James Park, Berczy Park and The Don River Trails are wonderful options for all the nature lovers out there who want to enjoy some greenery or go on a hike without leaving Downtown Toronto.
Are there any other places in the King East hood that we should mention? Let us know in the comment section below!
